The "Hong Kong Energy Efficiency Awards" energy saving competition is organised by the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department with the objectives to encourage the private sector to save energy as well as to adopt the best practices in implementing energy efficient measures. The competition is targeted at two sectors of our community: (i) Commercial and Residential Buildings and (ii) Schools. We welcome all property development and management organisations, and non-government schools to participate in the competition. This competition is supported by the CLP Power Hong Kong Limited and the Hongkong Electric Company Limited.

The Electrical & Mechanical Services Department hopes that not only the participants will benefit from this competition, the general public, especially the building occupants and the students, will also gain a better understanding of the process of energy saving and its importance to environmental protection.
